FAT 32 to NTFS Conversion
If you have a flash drive or an external hard drive that currently has FAT32 file system and you want to change it to NTFS, without loss of any information, you must do exactly the following steps .
Attention: We suggest you take a backup of your information in case anything goes wrong .
FAT 32 to NTFS Conversion Steps
1) check the name of the drive whose you wish to convert in your computer .
2) Click right on Start menu and type cmd in the search bar and lunch command prompt(for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or Windows Vista, for Windows XP, click on Run and then execute cmd).

3) Execute "chkdsk h: /f " (without quotes) . H is the letter of the drive to undergo conversion. This checks the drive for errors and fixes them automatically.
4) Execute "Convert h: /FS:NTFS" (without quotes).
5) after a few minutes, CMD will say that conversion was successful and you can check it in the properties of the drive
